ODOT Teen Program
- Available for teens 15-17 years old (18+ year old - no DMV drive test waiver available)
- Waives DMV drive test requirement
- Classes - Held at Redmond Proficiency Academy (RPA) in Redmond
- 30 hours of class time held in the evenings 2 days a week
- 6 hours behind the wheel training 1 day a week
- 6 hours observation (back seat observation while student partner drives)
- Counts towards 50 hours of driving experience DMV requirements
DMV after course requirements to obtain license:
- Students must be 16 years old
- Students must have permit for at least six months
- Students must have 50 hours supervised driving practice
Note - If your students turns 18 during the course they will be required to take the DMV drive test.
